Booting to any linux distro fails. AMD Radeon 7600. Not a high end card. Even gparted fails. Adding nomodeset to boot line seems to have no effect. Doing a search I see others with the same problem. Distros tried, backbox 8.1, garuda dragonized and a few others. Sorry if I seem to ramble. On oxycodone for pain due to neuropathy causd by colon cancer treatment. It sucks. Doesn’t make me tire though, instead makes me very alert. While I have your attention, if you’re over 35, get a colonoscopy. not as bad as they may seem, and it may save your lie and save you from the aftermath of treatmenthttp://google.com
Try Ubuntu 23.10 and select “safe graphics mode” at the boot menu.
And power through! I just beat stage 3 colon cancer myself, also in my late 30’s, thanks to modern chemo therapy! And the neuropathy went away eventually too. It will get better!
Just do absolutely EVERYTHING your oncologist says. That’s what saved my life.
Has anyone experienced bad itching taking oxycodone or oxycontin for pain after surgery and what did you do about it? I ruptured my Achilles tendon a few years ago and they gave me oxy for pain. I itched like crazy. I was told it was a side effect not an allergy. It was still horrible. It’s really any opioid…Vicodin, Tramadol etc I’m getting my surgery August 7th and discussed this with my doc and he said that’s what he gives. I can’t take NSAIDs either because of a kidney issue. He told me my pain would be worse than it was with the Achilles rupture. Tylenol does nothing for me. Dilaudid would be too strong I think and it doesn’t last long. He said I just might have to tough it out.. I’m thinking if I took some sort of antihistamine with the oxy, it may keep the itching at bay. Any thoughts anybody?? I’m not a wuss. I have a very high tolerance for pain, but I am human!
ALSO. Has anyone tried CBD/THC creams or balms topically for pain? I’m in NY so it’s legal and I have a card, I just have no idea where to begi
According to law enforcement officials, drugs are “rampant” in Delaware County. Now there is a new variety to worry about – kratom and 7-OH. These lab-made and chemically altered substances are as addictive as opioids according to the Federal Drug Administration, and are sold at smoke shops, gas stations, and corner stores as snacks, supplements, and other novelty products.
Oklahoma lawmakers passed a law in 2021 putting regulations on the sale of kratom. The law made it illegal for anyone under 18 to buy the product. On Nov. 1, 2025, a new Oklahoma law went into effect that makes it illegal to use or sell synthesized kratom, which would mean anything that contains more than 1% of 7-hydroxy. It became law without the governor’s signature.
The FDA says, “Consumers might be tempted to use these products to ‘treat’ ailments such as anxiety, mood disorders, pain, and opioid withdrawal. But there are no products containing 7-OH that the FDA has found safe and effective in treating those ailments or for any other use.” The FDA goes on to say, “Critically, 7-OH produces respiratory depression, physical dependence, and withdrawal symptoms characteristic of classical opioids, such as morphine, fentanyl, oxycodone, and hydrocodone.”
